Harvest Glasgow Christmas Devotion
by Scott Hamilton on Wednesday, 21st December 2011
One of the occassional challenges of church planting is that for one reason or another access to your building is not possible on a given day. This Sunday (Christmas day) is an example of such. So, instead of our normal Sunday gathering, we are getting together at 3pm on Christmas Eve, we would love it if you can join us.
Looking at Christmas Day though it occurred to us that it would be very easy for the Christmas message to get lost in the busyness. We also speak often about the massive importance of spending time together thinking about and talking about Jesus in the home to family discipleship. So we spy an opportunity to reinforce two key messages in our church.
1. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners
2. Parents get to talk to their kids and husbands and wives get to talk to one another about how Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
We're pretty fired up about these things and hope you are too.
So to help we have put together a short family devotion. Warning you will need to look over it to make sure that you have all that you need (not much... but worth checking). So we offer it to you as an opportunity to delight in the love of God who sent His only Son so that people like you and I need not perish but have eternal life.
Here's the Christmas family devotion.
