Monday Mix: Stand up to Speak up
by Scott Hamilton on Monday, 23rd January 2012
For this week's Monday mix we have some quotes from yesterday's message. We had a great time of worship with songs reflecting the importance and impact of living our lives with Jesus as Lord. Here is a video of one of the songs that is becoming precious to us right now.

We then spent some time in Acts 4: 1-22. It was a massive encouragement and challenge to see how a focus on Jesus produces faithfulness to and fruitfulness for Jesus. Here are some of the main things we said:
A church that is not clear on her convictions will never be convicted but nor will she be convincing. Acts 4:3
Could it be that the reason few seem to believe anything the church has to say is that few churches seem to believe anything they say?
We often miss the point that having the courage of our convictions at some point requires courage.
Choice of rejecting, or rejoicing in, Jesus name has an eternal echo. Trust this- His exclusion buys your inclusion, exclusively Acts 4: 11-12
If you are prone to say 'I don't think I'm smart enough to share Jesus': Illiterate, idiots are ideal indicators of grace Acts 4: 13-14
