Special Week of Prayer

by Scott Hamilton on Sunday, 25th March 2012
This week we are going to invest ourselves praying for our building situation. We are calling the church to a week of prayer and fasting. Listed below are reminders of some particular ways that you can pray for this. We want our whole church family to get involved and welcome anyone who is a friend of our church who wants to join in.
Let me remind you of the verse we shared last week from Jeremiah 32:17: ‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.' We long for this to be season of increasing faith and joy as we see the Lord move and work to establish the church. There is a sense that He is moving us on by moving us out and we want to embrace all that He has for us to learn and grown in during this season.
The leadership of the church would especially like to encourage people to pray at the following times for 15 minutes or so:
6pm Tuesday
12 Noon Wednesday
9am Thursday
We are also having a special night of prayer on Friday 30th April at 8pm at the usual venue of the McCleary's house.
- Wisdom for the leadership team of the church as they seek the Lord as to the way forward.
- Pray for the leadership team as they continue to consider our immediate options.
- Pray for a lasting legacy in the lives of the security staff at the university. They have served us so well, that we would be able to serve them with the good news of Jesus.
- Pray for guidance to a facility that will allow us to be of impact for God’s glory.
- Pray for provision for any additional needs that our next facility will require.
- Give thanks that God already has a place in His plan where He intends to bring about life transformation and allow us to see it.
Let me just remind you of our Build vision that we shared this time last year. How many of these things will God accomplish in where He moves us to next?
Ignite a nation: 6 churches in 6 cities
Impact to Salvation: Those loved and yet to be met
Influence through Transformation: Change by serving and sending
Impetus through Location: A building that builds for God
‘For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.’ Hebrews 3:4
