Easter Weekend AND a New Series
by Scott Hamilton on Wednesday, 4th April 2012
This weekend is the most important weekend in any calendar. Easter is the centrepiece of our entire year, a time of remembering and rejoicing that is designed to send us into the rest of our lives changed. So why not come and join us at Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow for one of our services.
Good Friday, 6 April at 5:30pm
Entitled 'The Silence and the Sentence' this will be a short and quiet service focusing on the cross. With opportunity for reflection and response the longing is to come together in the stillness and begin the Easter weekend with a clearer picture of who we are and, more importantly, who Jesus is and what He has done for us. We will join together for an hour on Friday then depart quietly looking forward to being able to rejoice together on Sunday. Here are the songs we will be singing on Friday to help you to prepare to participate.
Grace Like Rain
Nothing But the Blood
Made us alive
None But Jesus
Easter Sunday, 8 April at 10:30am
After Good Friday comes the great day of celebration. Jesus is alive! Come and join us to celebrate Jesus resurrection and His victory over all the things that are our greatest enemies. Come and see how Easter Sunday is the central cog in all of God's promises as we begin a new series together here at Harvest Glasgow. The series is called Unbreakable, and here is what it is about:
Our lives are full of promises. Promises made, promises kept, promises deferred, promises broken, promise wasted, empty promises- we all ride the highs and lows of trust given that promise implies. The promises we believe matter more than we realise because so much of how we view our lives and the world are based on trust. So how about trusting in something that is certain? Starting a new series at Harvest Glasgow called Unbreakable we are going to spend some time looking at some of the things God says He WILL do. When God says 'I will' that makes it as if it is already done. Now that really sounds like something worth trusting your life to.
Of all Sundays get ready to come and sing up and sing out in praise of our risen King.
Jesus Saves- Camp
Our God- Tomlin
At Your Name- Wickham
Mighty to Save- Hillsong
All Glory- Fletcher
