Fellowship Friday

by Scott Hamilton on Friday, 11th May 2012
We are going to start a new blog series having a look around Harvest Bible Fellowship at some of the things that are going on, some of the things we can be praying about and some things which will make you smile, get you excited- that kind of thing.
First up, it this thing with Harvest Bible Chapel's getting put out of their regular facility for the summer seems to be very much in fashion. Kaj Ballantyne and our friends at Harvest Muskoka have just heard much the same news that we did back at the end of March. So let's be praying for them that God would do such as He has for us and provide something beyond what they are used to meeting in and provide them with a new facility that will cause them to be of even greater impact for Jesus.
Next, one of the cool things about being part of Harvest Bible Fellowship is all the different nationalities we have around us. That can lead to some interesting cross-cultural moments which serve to stir up a deeper affection for Jesus. Check out this video from Harvest Granger but be warned, you'll have the song stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

In case you missed it, some of us from Harvest Glasgow recently travelled to Chicago for Harvest University. the theme for the conference was Building String Leaders. We certainly felt built up by our time with the wider Harvest family. 2000 people gathering to worship Jesus and learn about ministry in the local church is an awesome thing. If you want more on this, Scott has put together a review of some of his key take-homes from our visit. You can read it here.
Speaking of Harvest University, Scott was particularly excited when they showed this video. See if you can spot a familiar face:
