Euanthe's Monday Memo

First, a big shout out to all those who helped out with our SonSurf Beach Bash this past week! It was so encouraging to see the kids singing their hearts out to Jesus and really enjoying themselves. Also, what a blessing it was to have served alongside the Harvest Barrie team!

On Sunday we looked at Psalm 138 and once again we were given many things to reflect on. We all have different things that we invest our time and energy in and place a high value on. But the question to consider is if we are investing ourselves in the right or wrong things. Do you have things you value more than your relationship with the Lord? With this question in mind, lets take a look at three things that will ensure you to live a life that will reflect the value you place on your relationship with God.

A. Wake up to all in worship

So what does "all in worship" look like? Its about having an awareness of all that God has done, opening yourself up to all God has for you, and worshipping him with your whole heart. Our hearts cannot be like a honeycomb with all these different compartments in which we give God only one. We need to assassinate all other things filling up the other compartments in our hearts and truly have a whole heart of worship. Likewise, all in worship involves being on our faces before God: He must increase and we must decrease. The Lord deserves our whole heart and this means our worship needs to be complete and continual. We should never get to the point where we're satisfied with being a mere "Sunday Christian".

B. Humble yourself and ask for help

We need to not be afraid to ask God to get involved in our situation. After all, we knows us better than anyone else and is waiting for us to call out to him. We all have the tendency to run to other things for help first, this needs to stop. The Lord hears us and acts, and his way is worth it.

C. Prize his purpose in and for you

The Lord has a unique plan and purpose for each and everyone of us. But how often do we try to run the show and take complete control of our lives? When we have God in first place and truly value him above all other things, we can rest knowing that he is working all things together for our good.

Be praying this week for the Barrie team as they head home on Tuesday and for Scott, Alison and the kids as they head over to Barrie as well for holidays. Also be praying for Scott as he preaches in Barrie and Oakville in the coming weeks.

Have a great week,

You are Loved!
