Sunday Snapshot

This Sunday is the final week in our 'Vertical' series. It's been helpful to have a priority refresher and to ask ourselves what are the things that God wants to see in the church. Too often the approach is people-centred, personal preference based and culturally influenced for it to produce anything close to authentic life transformation.
In the final instalment we turn our attention to our fourth pillar- Unafraid Witness. Much like prayer we find it often a deep personal challenge to share the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness. Yet it is one of the key things that God's Word call us to do. It is the ultimate expression of worship in many ways to risk rejection by announcing the Gospel to someone who doesn't know it. Penn Gillette the magician and atheist asks the question of us '"How much do you have to hate someone to believe that everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?" So if God's Word is telling us to go do it, and we even have atheists throwing down the gauntlet to us about our lack of compassion for those around us that we withhold the Gospel from- don't you think we better be doing something about it? We would invite you to join us as we seek to respond to that challenge. You can prepare for that by reading 2 Corinthians 3: 4-18
We also have a great set of worship songs to sing together. What a joy it is to be able to lift Jesus name high together in worship. So come early and come ready. Here are the songs we will be singing and a video of a new song that we will be learning together.
