Welcome Back Students

One of the greatest joys of planting Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow has been the opportunity to invest in students who come to study in our city. Our desire for you is that you would benefit in all the different ways that you can from your university experience. Most of all we long for you to leave at the end with a richer understanding of how great God is and a deeper walk with Jesus. It has always been one of the key part of the vision of our church to invest in developing people like you for ministry in the local church by giving you opportunities to work for Christ and to receive specific teaching relevant to a life-time of serving Him in the local church.

That was part of the reason that when we planted the church we did so in the city centre and was part of the attraction of meeting Sunday by Sunday in the Graham Hills Building of Stratchlyde University. The University ended that arrangement in April and we have now moved to the South side of the city but our desire to serve you has not changed. We would love for you to come and spend time with us and are committed to assisting any students who would like to visit us in getting to the church. We know that choosing a church can be one of the most difficult decisions you will make in your time at University. It is also THE most important. Really?! Really. If Jesus is One who defines you most, and if He is your highest priority then so if the thing that will most feed your affection for Him. If Jesus says that 'He is building His church' then we need to be making a high priority of building where He is building. We are essentially a simple church. We want to teach you the Bible in ways that will engage you, make sense to you and press the truth of God's Word deep into you. We want our worship to give you every opportunity to express how excited you are to follow Jesus. We want to encourage you in prayer and give you a place where you can bring your friends who don't know Jesus to hear about Him in a way that will seem authentic to them and may surprise them. We want to welcome you into a church family where we are all pursuing greater attention and affection toward Jesus. We would love for you to come and join us some time early in your search for a church home.

In the meantime, here are some things that we would love to see you get involved in:

Harvest Glasgow is a church of small groups. We would love to place you in a small groups which will expand your horizons away from campus and expand your hearts as you grow with other people who are passionate about pursuing their walk with Jesus.

Featuring time in God's Word, in prayer and time where you can be authentic with other people about the realities, challenges and encouragements of your relationship with God. These are rich times that you won't want to miss out on.

Connect is our student and young adult ministry so it is geared up especially for you. We are trying something new and exciting this year. We are making this into a ministry training school aiming to resource you specifically for a more high impact walk with Jesus. We want to teach you how to read, study and present God's Word better.

We want to train you in leadership and in how to be a good steward of the gifts God has given you. We want to put you in a room with a bunch of people who are as fired up as you are to see your campus and this city changed for Jesus. This is a place where you can contribute massively while also being changed significantly. So, one morning a week we will get together for a couple of hours where we will see that injecting truth will lead to impacted lives.
