Jesus says ‘check out the stuff u value so much, stuff u wear out & worry about.’ It’s all virtually worthless because when you come to eternity it’s all worn out.

In reality most of us don’t know/don’t think/don’t care what our heart is attaching itself to. As long as it’s still beating/not broken we tend to be content.

The thing our heart is most drawn to drowns out everything else. The thing of most value to us speaks with greatest volume to us.

I should not think that anything I have to work so hard to protect will provide/produce/persevere into eternity

How sufficient & sure Jesus is to me will be demonstrated when my other treasure begins to feel unsafe.

When earthly treasures come under threat do they throw you in a loop or give you a bigger view of God’s throne?

If your heart is not right you will end up looking at the world all wrong. Stuff that shouldn’t matter becomes massive. Things that shouldn’t cause you to fear freak you out. Things that have nothing to do with eternity start to mean everything to you.

Making Jesus first is a matter of personal everyday decision that sees that a healthy/out of ordinary life is one that is pursuing an eternal direction.
