What does it sound like to please God. In Psalm 19: 14 David expresses a desire that the words of his mouth and the thoughts of his heart be acceptable in the sight of God. He wanted what he said and what he thought to be pleasing to God. So what does that look like?

May the words of my mouth... what we say matters. Scripture is clear on what our speech should and should not look like. Below is an image we used yesterday to help us get our heads around the kind of speech that offends God and what our speech is meant to sound like.

And the meditations of my heart... The word meditation describes something like talking/muttering/murmuring to yourself. What does that sound like? Again the image below gives us five things to consider about our inner narrative:
