Worship

Worship is so much more than music. We want to lift high the name of Jesus and give Him all the glory for who He is and what He has done; worship demands the whole being (Romans 12:1).

As it says in our church’s Foundational Priorities,

“We believe that our highest calling is to worship God and our biggest issues arise from our worship of things other than God. We believe that God has made worship (and sung worship in particular) a means of taking our distracted hearts and directing them towards Him. We believe that worship simultaneously needs to stand on what is true and stir our hearts to deeper affection for Jesus. Our approach to worship is content-driven, contemporary in style with the goal of compelling people to turn their hearts on Jesus.”

Worship is so much more than music. We want to lift high the name of Jesus and give Him all the glory for who He is and what He has done; worship demands the whole being (Romans 12:1).

Character over Competence

We believe it is far more important that members of the worship team have their heart is in the right place, rather than their hands (though this is a bonus!). Team members regularly attend their small group and participate in other church activities such as Harvest Prays.

Striving for Excellence

We believe God deserves our best and as such, we ask those interested in serving to go through a relaxed audition process. Team members are scheduled on a rota and practise together in the days prior to Sunday’s service, having worked on parts in advance.

Worship Leaders

We have a number of worship leaders who are responsible for selecting songs, leading rehearsals and guiding the church towards a greater glimpse of our never-changing God.
