Guide to the Harvest Glasgow Blog
by Scott Hamilton on Wednesday, 18th January 2012
To help you track with what is going to be happening at the Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow blog, we thought it would be good to give you a bit of a programme of what a typical week will look like. The goal is to have this part of our online home be as beneficial and informative as we can make it. We want to let you know about Harvest Glasgow, Harvest Bible Fellowship, point you to good resources and point you to things that will inspire you to live your life fully invested in Jesus. Ultimately we want to point you to Jesus because there is nowehere else worth looking. We believe changed people change the world and our prayer is that what you find here will not be just information but will cause transformation increasingly into the likeness of our king.
So here's the plan:
Monday Mix: Will be a bit of a mash up of reflection on the service from the previous day, testimonies and anything at we feel like celebrating at the start of the week. I can't think of anyone who doesn't feel like they need some encouragement on a Monday- that's what we will shoot for here.
Church Tuesday: We want to be about building what Jesus is about building. In Matthew 16:18 Jesus tells us that nothing is going to stop Him building His church or achieving His purposes for the church. We are fired up about that and hope that you are too. On Tuesdays we are going to post stuff that we think will give you a big vision for the church, and to think through what the Bible says the key priorities are. We'll talk a bit about why we do things the way we do them.
Wider Wednesday: Keeping you up to date with what's going on with Harvest Bible Fellowship. Engaging with some of the issues in church world and the real world. Figuring out how to speak and pray well in a world we are in but not of
Thought for Thursday: It's getting to the end of the week, Sunday seems a long time ago and the next one seems a long way away. We want to point you to some encouragement from God's Word to help you finish the week strong in the strength of the Lord.
Sunday Snapshot: On Friday's we're going to take a first glance at what we will be about at our services on Sunday.
What passage are we looking at?
What songs will we be singing?
Is anything extra happening I might want to know about?
These questions will be answered here
Tweets of the Week: Every Saturday, The best in Twitter from the past week and also some of the best of the other resources that we have come across.
