Each summer at Harvest Glasgow we take a different approach to our small groups. We want, as a church, to be looking for ways to deepen people's confidence in God's Word, equipping them more effectively for serving Jesus in and through the local church and helping gthem to live more impactfully for Him in their every day lives. Summer small groups have been an excellent way of doing this in the past and we are excited about what we have planned for this summer too.

This year we are changing the format slightly. We are having less options but allowing people to spend more time on them. We are having three tracks each lasting for around five or six sessions. This we belive will allow people to get better grounded and allow us to offer a different set of options next year. This year our options will be:

Serving as a follow on from last year's Biblical Soul Care summer small group programme this is about how we use the Bible to care for people's heart needs. We want, as a church, to draw a clear distinction between what passes for Christian counselling today but is rooted in the methodology and wisdom of the world and Biblical Soul Care which is rooted in the worth of scripture. We want to nurture a culture of caring for one another Biblically- that is what this track is about.

Looking at the big picture of the Bible this track will look at how the Bible fits together and how each of it's constituent parts plays a key role in showing us the story of God's plan. Whether you want to know your Bible better, read your Bible clearer or explain the Bible more fully this track will serve you.

Building on the church theme for the year, High Impact, and the 2012 Challenge we want to resource you to have more confidence in sharing your faith with the people around you. Two ways to live is a great resource for this and will give you both the structure and, more crucially, the scripture you need to share the good news of Jesus with boldness.

So those are the options. Email: [email protected] to register your interest and check back here over the next week for dates, times and venues. We look forward to you getting involved.
