New Ministry Year- Built to Last

The theme for the coming ministry year at Harvest Bible Chapel Glasgow is 'Built to Last.' We want to move away from the idea that the church can ever be something that is flash in the pan, spur of the moment or 'when I feel like it.' Jesus IS building His church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. If we believe that we ought to build on that basis.

Ephesians 4: 11-13 says that, 'He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.'

A mark of our understanding that the the church is to be a work that points people to eternity is our investment in and pursuit of maturity. The building of foundational belief and belonging in Christ that produces the behaviour and protects us in the battle that scripture clearly says will be involved is essential.

We want to build into people something that will last beyond Harvest Glasgow because it lasts beyond this life. We believe Harvest Glasgow will be built to last if it is built upon a commitment to the things we find in Ephesians as a result of what has been built into us through the cross.
