How did you end up at Moody Bible Institute?
I have a passion to to help people and serve them well. I had never considered myself able to study but my want to serve God opened up the prospect of studying at Moody Bible Institute in order to prepare for ministry. God showed me that loving people was offering them Christ. With the push of some close family friends who attended the College I applied to Moody to study in the Pastoral Ministry to Women major and got in! My time at Moody has transformed my relationship with God allowed me to serve people through my devotion to God.
How did you get connected to us at Harvest Glasgow?
I have attended the Harvest Bible Chapel the Cathedral in Chicago for the past 2 years. When we started our series on serving the nations I saw the Scotland flag hanging up in the church. That is when I learned that there was a church planted in Glasgow. With the hope of pursuing an internship in Scotland I emailed the Harvest Glasgow pastor. Meanwhile, I had many people in the congregation praying for this opportunity to serve at home and continue to care for a Harvest church. Within a couple of months of prayer, the Lord responded with a connection with Scott and confirmation of coming! I am really excited to serve in Harvest Glasgow.
What is the goal of the internship for you?
My main goal is to glorify God through my internship and serve Him with my whole heart. The internship will be an opportunity for me to get stuck into all that God is doing in Harvest Glasgow. I would love to be able to apply what I have been learning in my course and to serve the church with the love of Jesus.
What are you most passionate about in ministry?
The Gospel. It is the power of the Gospel that transforms lives and restores a relationship with God. I long for all people to know Jesus and to encounter His beauty, majesty, and holiness. I pray that what I received I will pass on to others, “that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Cor. 15:3b-4).
What would you hope to do once you have completed your studies?
I will continue to serve the Church of Jesus Christ. I hope to return to Scotland to serve in the church and to teach women in Bible studies empowering them to live fully for the Lord in their lives. In the future I would love to continue my studies to teach at the Bible university level in Scotland.
